Greatness Calls For Substraction

In this thing called life there are people who we meet and every single one of them brings something to add or subtract to our life. Whether we are aware of this or not, subtraction in our lives is so massive and will work miracles if we understand the power in this. I play the role of a mom, an aunt, a wife, an entrepreneur and so much more. The more I grow into myself I realize that there are 3 people that if we value our growth should be released from our lives to get to the next level of whatever our purpose is.  My goal here is bringing clarity when it comes time to recognize these personalities when they are presented to us.

The Gossip. Please be clear in knowing that everything on this planet earth is energy. When we participate in this even out of pity , this is wasted strength that we can use for the good in our life. People who do this many of the times just need to hear themselves talk. A good majority of the time the person/s they are talking about does not even matter to them. They know what your brother used to do when he was in his crazier stages in life. They know whose hair is real and who’s isn’t. They know how long your aunt was divorced before she got married to that prince charming she has now. They know where you shop for your kids clothing and shoes. This may have you thinking that they are a complete information station but the only problem is that they have no clue about there own lives.  I’m talking they are in a completely oblivious state of being, Something I learned in my younger years is that when we focus on someone else’s problem this has a soothing effect because it takes away the reality of the nonsense in our own lives. Lets talk about what this comes with because everything we do is a transaction right? Depending on how deep we go down the rabbit whole, when we focus on all the bad things about people it also means that we are not focusing on the good. When we’re looking for something with full effort the odds on this is that we can find it. Because this is a gargantuous amount of energy you’ll have very little for your career, friends, family and anything else that really matters to you.

The Defenseless. These people want your help but they don’t really want your help. You met them before, they want to get a job but don’t really want to get a job. After a while they can grow an obsession in being helpless and defenseless. My grandpa has an old saying, “You ain’t finna spit in my face and tell me it’s rain.” Trust and believe that I  know this may sound cold hearted right now but when you have a hunger for change you’ll remember this post! This happens in different areas of their life because many of the times, the way you do anything is the way you do everything.

The Hunted. This is the “everyone is out to get me person.” This personality is really one that you have to sharpen your listening skills because if not, if can back fire on you in the later years of your relationship.  This person is may or may not be aware of their actions. Trust and believe that anything that ever happens to them will never be their own fault. Taking responsibility for their actions is as real as the tooth fairy.  Be sure to listen for this. Everything and anything will always be taken for granted including you. The government will always be the reason for bad things that happen to them. The schools or jobs of their choice will always have something to discriminate against them.

These 3 personality types may be from people that we have come to love, built lasting relationships with and would never want to hurt them. The issue with hanging around these personalities too  long can be dangerous for the dreams we have to help them or ourselves. When your talking to people, you have to be present in the conversations and time spent with them to be able to notice the personality when it comes your way.  Being around these types will drain you in bigger way than you imagine. If growing in yourself will help them, how can you do this if your not at your best?

I grew up hearing, “do as I say and not as I do.” The only issue with this is, this is never what happens. Is it?

Stay woke friends!

Yes guard our hearts because everything we do comes from it. People with this have a heart thats damaged and it’s important to recognize that when it comes our way. It has more influence than we think.
